Thelma Hopper Oliver, 88 of Lyon County passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 at her home. She was a register nurse and a long time member of Northside Baptist Church before joining Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Lyon County. She is survived by her husband, Woodson Oliver, daughter-in-law: Rachelle Hopper, Nashville, TN, three step-sons: Jimmie Oliver and wife, Faye, Eddyville, KY, Jackie Oliver and Susan Oliver, Lyon County and Bobby Oliver, Atlanta, GA, one grandson, Jason Hopper, Marion, KY, one great grandchild, three step grandchildren: Kamisha Lane, T. J. Oliver, and Jackie Oliver, Jr., three step great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Robert Hopper, parents, James Harvey and Willie A. Luttrell Haddock, two sons, Joe Hopper and Donnie Hopper, two sisters, Mary Cook and Lena Mae Jenkins, 1 brother, Jimmie Haddock and one grandson, Kris Hopper. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 8 PM Monday at Morgan's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 PM at Morgan's with Rev. Robin Redd officiating.
