Raymond "Shep" McDowell age 61 of Princeton, died Tuesday April 23, at his home following a long illness. He is survived by his wife Clarice Southard McDowell of Princeton; one son Michael McDowell and wife Laura of Franklin, TN; his mother, Wanetta Teague McDowell of Princeton; one sister, Jeanette McDowell of Princeton, KY; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, James McDowell, and one brother, Larry McDowell. Mr. McDowell worked for Special Metals as a Furnace Operator, he was a Member of Southside Baptist Church, a Kentucky Colonel and was an Army Veteran. Shep did several bike rides to raise money for Relay for Life Cancer Research. Visitation will be Thursday April 25, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Friday April 26, at 2:30 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Ronnie Sivells officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
