John Thomas Hancock, 83 of Princeton, KY passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016 at the West Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson, KY. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church, a self-employed carpenter and a Corporal in the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Pearl Ramey Hancock, daughter, Jana "Sissy" Richardson, Princeton, KY, two sons, Mike Hancock and wife Marla, Frankfort, KY and Buddy Ramey and wife, Nancy, Princeton, KY, two sisters, Mary Ruth Hancock, and Katherine Jane Richardson, Princeton, KY, two brothers, Donnie Hancock and wife, Glennda, Princeton, KY and Billy Joe Hancock and wife, Kathy, Wellsboro, PA, five grandchildren: Chris Ramey, Richie Richardson, Sarah York, Taylor Hancock, Andrew Hancock and four great grandchildren: Tyler Ramey, Ellie Ramey, Brookelynn Richardson and Henry York and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorris Thomas and Gertrude Triplett Hancock, 2 brothers, Louard and Buell Hancock, one granddaughter, Joni Karol Richardson and one great granddaughter, Erin Elizabeth Allison. Visitation will be from 10:00 until funeral time on Monday at Morgan's. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 PM at Morgan's Funeral Home with Rev. Michael York officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Hill cemetery with military rites to be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the Veteran's Van, %VFW American Legion, 121 E. Main Street, Princeton, KY 42445.
