Joe Campbell, Sr., 69, of Princeton, KY died Monday, May 26, 2014 at Princeton Health and Rehab Center following a short illness. He was a retired teacher at Kentucky State Penitentiary, member of First Baptist Church of Princeton, Generations Sunday School Class, auxiliary member of Democratic Woman's Club, former member of the Caldwell County Democratic Executive Committee and a Kentucky Colonel. Survivors include his wife, Susan Chambliss Campbell, Princeton, KY; two sons, Joe Campbell, Jr. & wife Kim, Sikeston, MO; Craig Campbell & wife Renee, Princeton, KY; four grandchildren, Mikayla Campbell, Christopher Cooper & wife, Elisabeth, Josh Cooper, Kirsten Baker, one great-granddaughter, Evelyn Cooper, one brother, Edwin Campbell, Princeton, KY, one niece, Jennifer Campbell and one uncle, Frank Freeman. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Edward and Edith Banister Campbell. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Russ Davidson officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Josh Cooper, Christopher Cooper, Bryan Martin, Rod Shinall, Ed Koscho, and Frank Brown. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Schelb, Donnie Ray Lancaster, Kenny Lewis, Buddy Nichols, Carl Belcher, and Jim Hubbard.
