Helen Hobson, age 87, of Madisonville died Wednesday, November 18, at Brighton Cornerstone Health Care in Madisonville, KY. She was a retired LPN from Hopkins County Hospital and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include six sons, Carl R. Jameson, Madisonville, KY; Jerry W. Jameson, Hanson, KY; George C. Curtis, Jr., Princeton, KY; William Edward Curtis, Sweden; Robert Fred Curtis, Mt. Vernon, IL; William E. Runk., Jr., Bowling Green, KY; one daughter, Shirley Ann Utley, Providence, KY; one sister, Elizabeth M. Buyok, Manos, CO; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Hobson; her parents, Joseph David Schmidt and Gladys Jesima White Schmidt; one son, David Allen Jameson, one daughter, Jane Ellen Jameson and one brother, Joseph David Schmidt. Visitation will be Sunday, November 22, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville, KY. Funeral services will be Sunday, November 22, at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Johnny Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Princeton, KY.
