Capt. Charles E. Robinson, age 78, of Paducah, died Sunday, January 5 at Princeton Health & Rehab in Princeton following a long illness. He was a retired towboat captain and a member of Southland Baptist Temple in Paducah.
Survivors include one daughter, Michelle Duckworth, Morganfield, KY; four grandchildren, Trevor Rowley & Tera Rowley, both of Morganfield, KY, Danielle Smith, Boaz, KY and Sara Belt, Paducah, KY., one great grandchild, Callie Smith, Boaz, KY., one sister, Carolyn Holloman, Kuttawa, KY., one niece, Lisa Baze, Kuttawa, KY and one nephew, Daniel McKinzie, Marion, KY.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Robinson, his parents, Charley and Sadie Hughes Robinson, and one daughter, Patti Gayle Vinson.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 8 from 10:00 a.m. until 12 Noon at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville, KY. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 12 Noon at the funeral home with Rev. Carl Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery in Marion, KY.
